340 THOUSAND STUDENTS GAVE UP NCEE
9.57 million Chinese students attended the National College Entrance Examinations (NCEE) on June 7, 2010. However, according to education experts’ conservative estimation around 340 thousand students chose not to write the NCEE (also known as the “GaoKao”. Cited reasons include that fact that more students are electing to attend foreign universities.
