AUSTRALIA’S UNIVERSITY STUDENT NUMBER GROWS
The Australian Federal Government showed that the number of students at Australian universities grew by an average of 10 percent over the last two years. According to Edith Cowan University vice-chancellor Kerry Cox, some of the biggest growth areas have been in response to the needs of the mining sector. “We’ve introduced maintenance engineering in response to the needs of the big resource companies for instance and the creative industries also are very popular, including communications,” he said.
