British minister urges review of visa policy
British Minister Keith Vaz told the Times of India that Britain should review its 2012 policy decision to cease allowing international students to stay in Britain to work after the conclusion of their studies. The decision has led to a precipitous drop, around 50%, in the number of Indian students coming to study in England. Recently a Scottish minister announced that Scotland plans to launch a new visa to allow students to stay in Scotland to work after graduation from a local higher education institution.
