Bucks New University’s Tier 4 license suspended
Buckinghamshire New University has had its license to sponsor Tier 4 international students suspended after it exceeded the government’s accepted visa refusal threshold, which previously stood at 20% at the time in question. The university has 20 days to appeal the decision. Students who have received a CAS and are in the process of applying for a visa, or who have an outstanding application to extend their leave to remain in the UK, have been notified that their applications are on hold until the suspension has been resolved. The UK Home Office has also strongly suggested that students who have a visa but have not yet travelled to the UK do not travel until the suspension has been lifted.
