When did you join Grok?
May 2016 – time flies and it’s been almost three years.
很快就要在Grok工作满三年了！
What was your first job in international education?
I worked as an IELTS trainer at New Oriental after finishing my Master’s degree and about six months later, I came to Grok. Working in international education field has always been my first choice and now I can say I did make a right decision.
硕士毕业之后，我的第一份工作是在新东方做一名雅思培训师。大概6个月之后，我离开新东方，加入了Grok。 国际教育行业始终是我就业的首选领域，现在看来我确实做了一个非常正确的选择呢！
What does international education mean for you?
When I was a student, it meant opportunity for me. I can say the experience of studying abroad has changed me in many ways. I learnt to be more critical, positive, independent and open-minded.
Now for me international education means a career and responsibilities. I should be responsible for my clients to always finish my work with high quality. I should also be responsible for students and help them to seize the opportunity and make better choices about their futures.
当我还是一个学生的时候，国际教育对于我来说是机会。出国留学的经历使我在许多方面都有所提高，我学着努力成为一个辩证的、积极的、独立的、胸怀宽广的人。
对于现在的我而言，国际教育意味着一份职业以及一份责任。我需要对我的客户负责，按时高质量的完成我的工作；我还要对学生们负责，帮助他们抓住机遇为人生做出更好的选择。
What is one of the most satisfying outcomes you’ve helped a client to achieve?
As a marketing officer, one of my daily responsibilities is to manage social media platforms for our clients and interact with students and parents. Last year we helped one of our clients collect nearly two hundred on-line inquires from students and it turned out 40 of them did apply for that university.
作为市场部的营销专员，我的日常职责之一是帮助客户维护社交媒体平台并且及时和学生家长互动。去年一年内我们帮一个客户收集整理了大约200条在线学生问题，并且其中有大概40人最后真的申请了这所大学。
What is your favourite movie?
Animations! I like animations from Disney, Universal Studio and Dream Works. My favourite characters are the minions, Nick and Judy from Utopia and my Moana, who is not a traditional Disney princess and tried her best to saved the world.
我最喜欢动画片！迪士尼，环球影业和蓝天工作室的作品我都超喜欢。我最喜欢的形象有小黄人，《疯狂动物城》里面的兔子Judy和狐狸Nick，还有《海洋奇缘》里面的Moana。
What is your dream travel destination? Why?
Barcelona Spain. I actually have been to Barcelona once in 2015. When we had already got our tickets for Park Güell and were about to enter the park, my friends’ wallets was stolen. So you know our moods were totally ruined and we just headed back to our hotel instead of visiting the park. I really like Gaudi’s architecture work and I wish I could have a second chance to go to Barcelona and visit Park Güell in the future.
我想去西班牙的巴塞罗那。事实上我在2015年的时候去过一次巴塞罗那，当时我和朋友们已经买好了奎尔公园的门票正准备检票入园，结果我朋友们的钱包在那个时候被偷了….所以我们也没有兴致再逛公园，就直接返回酒店了。但是我真的非常喜欢高迪的建筑，所以真的很希望今后能有机会再去一次巴塞罗那，一定要去奎尔公园。
When it is time to relax, what do you like to do?
Do nothing, just like Bruno Mars’s Lazy Song goes: today I don’t feel like doing anything, I just wanna lay in my bed. That’s me.
什么都不做，就像火星哥唱的歌一样：我今儿什么都不想干，就想在床上躺一天…
What is something other Grokkers probably don’t know about you?
When I was a kid, I learnt dancing for eight years. But I can’t remember any movements now.
我小时候学了8年跳舞，但是我现在什么都不记得了。
What was your favourite subject at high school? Why?
Physics. I don’t have any particular reasons. Maybe it’s because I had no talent in Chemistry or Biology or any other subjects, anyway life is fair, so I did quite well in physics.
物理。也没什么特别的原因，估计是因为我其他科目都不怎么好，总得有一科还不错，那就是物理了。
What is something you’ve learned from somebody inspirational?
“Every day you wake up with a new chance. A chance to start again and a chance to be better. What’s past is past, leave it there and focus on your future.”
每一天都是一个崭新的机会，去重新开始，去做的更好。过去的已经过去了，不要管它，放眼未来吧。
