What was your first job in international education?
I worked as an IELTS teacher at New Channel from Dec 2015 to Sep 2017 after I got my master’s degree in England. Then Doria, another Marketing Officer, introduced me to Grok.
在英国获得硕士学位后，我于2015年12月至2017年9月在新航道担任雅思老师。之后，Doria介绍我来了Grok。
What does international education mean for you?
At the time of college, for me, international education meant pursuing dreams and experiencing different cultures. After I started working, international education means a kind of responsibility. I can help students enter their dream schools, help foreign institutions and universities recruit excellent students, and contribute to the international education field.
在大学的时候，对于我来说国际教育意味着追求梦想，和体验不同的文化。工作之后，国际教育更意味着一种责任，帮助学生走进梦想的学校，帮助外国院校招收到优秀的学生，为教育全球化、国际化贡献自己的一份力量。
What is one of the most satisfying outcomes you’ve helped a client to achieve?
As marketing officers, our daily job is to manage social media platforms, including WeChat and Weibo for our clients. In February, I did two Weibo campaigns during the Spring Festival for one of my clients. After the campaign, the number of our followers rise dramatically from about 6200 to around 11400 (almost doubled). This is a very exciting number.

What is your favourite movie?
I love many different kinds of movies, like thrillers and fantasy adventure films. My favorite one is The Lord of the Rings, which is a film series of three epic fantasy adventure films. One of my favorite lines in the movie is “that there’s some good in this world, and it’s worth fighting for”.

What is your dream travel destination?
France. I went to France 3 years ago. I was enchanted by the amazing European architectures there, and it really is a very romantic country.

When it is time to relax, what do you like to do?
I become very interested in musicals recently. So I would buy tickets and go to watch classical musicals with my friends.

What is something other Grokkers probably don’t know about you?Sometimes I make fruit tea by myself during the weekends.

What was your favourite subject at high school? Why?
History. I learned a lot from this subject, and my history teacher was very knowledgeable and humorous.
