What is Grok?

We extend the international teams of higher education institutions into the world’s most important education markets. We are not agents, providers of pathway programs, or middlemen. Our only economic interest is to provide in-market services for our client institutions. Our clients decide their own international agenda, and we find and supervise local staff that will work in seamless collaboration with our partners to reach their targets.

What is cool about this job?

As a Recruitment Manager, you will build a strong personal connection to the people at ANU and to the institution itself. You will contribute directly to the evolution of the institution and its international strategy. The work you do will impact the educational opportunities available to both students at ANU as well as in the Mekong region.

You may develop skills such as:

  • Strategic analysis and strategy development.
  • Communicating at a high level with customers.
  • Managing a complex agenda.
  • Crafting realistic and successful business models to support academic partnerships.

You will be part of the Grok Family, where you’ll have access to excellent supervision, professional development, career growth, and a fun and caring work environment. You will also have the chance to travel to visit your customer campus. Grok is dedicated to doing excellent work for our customers, and it’s exciting to be part of our growing team.

What is hard about this job?

With greater control comes greater responsibility, and this can result in pressure. Most education institutions the world over have complex governance, which means that they are not able to change rapidly. You may know how an institution can improve its outcomes in the Mekong region, but it might take months or years for them to address your feedback, which can lead to frustration. Stress management is essential. The job sometimes requires significant travel within the region, which can be great, but it can also sometimes be tiring.
