Presi may open doors to international board students
Sneha Das of Calcutta International School passed the Cambridge Board A-level examination in August 2012, but could not get admitted to any city college last year, thanks to an archaic system. She, however, isn’t the only one. All students passing out of the Cambridge Board or International Baccalaureate (IB) programme can take admission only in the next academic year as by the time their results are published all colleges in Bengal are done with the admission procedure. But the scenario may soon change with Presidency University mulling to admit such candidates from the 2014 session.
