STATE COUNCILOR URGES EFFORTS TO PROMOTE EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND CULTURE IN WEST CHINA
Chinese State Councilor Liu Yandong has urged local authorities to rely on education, science and culture to develop the country’s western regions. Efforts should be made to train high-quality talent and to embrace innovation in the development of local agriculture, Liu said. She also stressed the importance of protecting cultural relics.
