TALKS WITH CHINA ON INCREASING SCHOLARSHIPS
Yemen and China have held talks about increasing cultural exchange scholarships between Yemeni and Chinese universities. Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Saleh Ali Ba Sura and the cultural and economic advisor in the Chinese embassy in Sana’a discussed arrangements to complete a Chinese language department in Sana’a University as well as to provide the department with equipment, curricula and teachers from the Chinese side. The two sides also reviewed the ongoing work in the networking project of Sana’a and Aden universities, which is being implemented by China at a cost of US$5 million.
