Grok will be co-presenting with colleagues from Lakehead University (Canada) and the University of Newcastle (Australia), exploring the skills and best practices required from an institution’s international office to successfully manage offshore staff.

The session will focus on human resource challenges across different markets, strategic communication and reporting, as well as explore considerations of risk mitigation and transition strategies when things go awry in-country.

From institutions that are “hands off” through to sophisticated, data driven management, many examples and models will be explored. Participants will look at how to succeed and overcome challenges when managing staff across different timezones and cultures.
