When did you join Grok?
1 July 2025

Describe yourself in three words.
Gracious, Purposeful, Conscientious

What were you doing before working at Grok?
As Country Manager for SI-UK (now StudyIn) in Indonesia, I established the organization from the ground up, built and led a high-performing team, and grew student recruitment from 1 to over 380 in the fourth year, consistently surpassing the 20% year-on-year growth target. I helped shape the recruitment landscape for more than 40 UK and Irish universities in Indonesia, expanding admissions access for Indonesian students through policy updates and securing a successful LPDP listing for a UK university in 2025. I also delivered over a six-fold increase in net profit through strong financial management and business scaling, while developing SOPs and automating early recruitment tasks to enable scalable, replicable operations.

What was your first job (in education or otherwise)?
My career in international education recruitment began in 2005, when I worked as a part-time Office Assistant at the Study Abroad Office of Diablo Valley College (DVC) in Pleasant Hill, California. I supported American students with mobility programs to the UK and Europe, including applications, scholarships, and offers, while also assisting Indonesian students and visiting agents on campus. Several years later, after returning to Indonesia, the same director I reported to at DVC hired me as the college’s in-country representative, my first formal role in the international education sector.

What does international education mean for you?
International education is both a privilege and an opportunity; when utilized well, it can shape mindset, work ethic, knowledge, and experience that become invaluable assets when stepping into the professional world. Having been an international student myself, I find it personal to have recruited students for international study and now support university representatives, helping the next generation make the most of this privilege and opportunity.

What is one of the most satisfying professional outcomes you’ve achieved?
I delivered ROI by the second year and achieved a total net profit of IDR 2.5 billion by the fourth year for my previous organization, while scaling up to three branches without relying on cost-cutting efficiencies.
