Chinese flock to US secondary schools
The number of international students attending US secondary schools more than tripled to 73,000 from 2004 to 2013. Of the 49,000 Asian students who came to the US in 2013 for secondary education, 46% were Chinese. 95% of international students attend private secondary schools in the US because, within the current framework of visa regulations, students attending a private school do not have time limitations within which they must earn a diploma.
