Global recognition of Indian degrees soon
India is set to get full-fledged membership status of the Washington Accord by June, enabling global recognition of Indian degrees and improving mobility of students and engineers.
Secretary of Higher Education Ashok Thakur said steps were being taken to set up a National Accreditation Regulatory Authority (NARA) to supplement the country’s efforts to improve quality and to meet international standards.
