International Schools expected to reach 3.7m students in 2014

Global Education News

The International School Consultancy Group (ISC) predicts that the market for international high school programs will continue to see significant growth in 2014, reaching 7,200 international schools teaching over 3.7 million students in English by the end of the year. The sector’s growth over the past 10 years is directly related to demand for quality education and more buying power among middle classes in emerging markets. Due to recent changes in the law allowing Chinese-foreign cooperation programmes to enrol both Chinese nationals and foreign students, international schools in China are predicted to see “enormous” growth “likely to dwarf all other countries in the world”.
