Ministry of Education aims to punish academic misconduct

The Chinese Ministry of Education has published draft regulation on the prevention and punishment of academic irregularities and has invited public comment.

According to the draft, academic misconduct can include plagiarism; tampering with others’ research achievements; falsifying facts, data, materials or references; and ghostwriting. Punishments will include termination of studies, disqualification from academic awards and demotion. Xinhua.net
