NYU Shanghai gets a new campus at Lujiazui

China Education News

New York University Shanghai announced the opening of its new Lujiazui campus on Aug 14, 2014, on Century Avenue in the Pudong area. The university received over 13,000 applications, and is expecting to begin the year with 600 students starting from Aug 16, with Chinese accounting for more than 50% of the total.
The school differs from other domestic universities in that it is an “open university” that blends in with the local surroundings, similar to its Manhattan campus in New York City. It features a 15-floor building for all teaching and administrative functions, also known as a ”vertical university”.
