School in the swamp – Sugata’s most remote School in the Cloud opens
The world’s first independent School in the Cloud was set up in Delhi on March 9, 2014. It is the fourth of seven new Self-Organized Learning (SOLEs) locations to open as part of Prof. Mitra’s $1m TED prize-funded project. But while the others are attached to schools, Korakati will be the first to stand alone.
Korakati, in the Sunderbans of West Bengal, is, at first sight, not the most likely spot for a high-tech learning lab.
