University to boost presence in Southeast Asia

China Education News

The Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) has boosted its presence in Thailand and revealed an ambition to build its Bangkok arm into its branch college not only for Thailand, but also for Southeast Asia. BLCU is well known for graduating the largest number of foreign students majoring in Chinese language in China, and the institution has teamed up with Assumption University in Thailand, offering business Chinese courses, as well as degree programs in “Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language”. With the increasing interest in Chinese language learning in the country, the BLCU Bangkok college is looking to set up more city campuses in Thailand’s capital and to offer more degree and non-degree courses, as well as selecting more high-level university partners in the country, and even expanding to Southeast Asia region.
