EDUCATION EXPERTS, TEACHERS TO PLAY KEY ROLE IN TEXTBOOK REFORM
Chinese State Councilor Liu Yandong urged education experts and teachers to pool their wisdom to help revise textbooks for China’s elementary and junior high school students. Liu said the advisory and working committees should play the role of thinktanks. New textbooks should be in the interest of students’ all-around development and lifelong learning, rather than focusing just on delivery of facts.
