Europe calling: European Higher Education Fair 2014
With more and more European Universities teaching in English, it was no surprise that throngs were seen flocking to the recently concluded European Higher Education Fair in India.
“Organized by the Delegation of the European Union to India, the fair saw the participation of around 100 universities. For those who dream of studying in the UK or Ireland, the exhibition was more of an eye-opener. Institutes from countries like Estonia, Latvia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Sweden, Germany and France were lined-up at the fair. From a medicine degree in Bulgaria to a bachelor’s degree in gastronomy in Paris, the choices they offered were diverse.
“At present, over 50,000 Indian students are studying in the continent. Half of them are in UK institutes. Ireland is the next best choice, thanks to English-medium courses.”
