Gaokao figures hit record lows
The number of students due to take this year’s Gaokao is lower than last year in Beijing, Liaoning and Jiangsu provinces. The number of Beijing Gaokao takers declined for the 10th consecutive year to only 61,000, which is nearly half the 2006 figure. ECNS.cn
