Hong Kong University plans to recruit 300 students from the mainland in 2014

Hong Kong University (HKU) released its 2014 recruitment plan on Nov27, and will select around 300 students from the mainland, without a quota for each province. HKU promised in the plan that all students may apply for a full scholarship (a total of 175,000 HK dollars)and the opportunity for one year of study at a top university such as Yale, Cambridge, or Oxford. In 2013, 53% of the HKU graduates from the mainland chose to work in HongKong, while 35% continued their study in overseas universities, 7% continued their study in Hong Kong, 4% worked in the mainland, and the remaining 1% worked in overseas countries.
