China Education News

Construction on a new university co-founded by the Beijing Institute of Technology and Lomonosov Moscow State University will begin in Shenzhen early next year, in a move that will further cement cooperation in education between China and Russia. The new campus will recruit undergraduate and graduate students starting in 2016, recruiting 300 to 500 students annually with the ultimate goal of reaching a student body of 5,000. The school will mainly seek to enroll top Chinese students but will also welcome international students. Prospective students will be required to participate in the Gaokao, China’s national college entrance exam, and score higher than the minimum for first-tier universities. Graduates will receive diplomas from both Moscow State University and the BIT issued by the Chinese Ministry of Education.
