When did you join Grok?
I joined Grok in November 2018 as Program Manager for Ohio University. In February 2022, I started my new role at Grok as Senior Manager of Client Engagement.

What were you doing before working at Grok?
Immediately before this current role: I was Ohio University’s Program Manager for Southeast Asia at Grok Global Services (KL, Malaysia). Prior to joining Grok as PM for Ohio University in 2018, I worked as Regional Officer for University of East Anglia.

What was your first job in education?
My first job in education was with Sheffield Hallam University as a Student Development Officer (Southeast Asia). I was involved in recruiting students from countries across Southeast Asia, such as, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar, and the Philippines.

What does international education mean for you?
Being someone who experienced study abroad, at the Undergraduate, and Postgraduate level, I see international education as the opportunity for students to gain a global perspective in their respective field, without being limited by geographic restraints. International education also allow students to broaden their horizons and make lifelong connections with people across the world – connections that could lead to a better future.

What is one of the most satisfying outcomes you’ve helped a client to achieve?
I managed to help our client identify and set up a robust network of education agencies across the Southeast Asia region and within a year it yielded enrollment results.

What is your favourite movie?
The movie, Midway (2019) because it delivers important messages, such as the key to be efficient, and effective is trust, accountability, and empowerment.

What is your dream travel destination? Why?
Venice (Italy) is such a beautiful city and has so much to offer in terms of culture, heritage, and architecture. It almost doesn’t matter which way you look because nearly everywhere is as picturesque as the previous sight you set your eyes upon.

What is your favourite food to eat with friends?
BBQ because it allows people to gather around and be involved in the food preparation, all the while engaging in conversation.

What is something you’ve learned from somebody inspirational?
“If you are humble, nothing will touch you, neither praise nor disgrace, because you know what you are.” — Mother Teresa.
